The Eras Tour has just wrapped up in Asia and before Taylor heads to the UK and Europe, it’s got one more stop – Disney+.

Almost exactly a year ago, on March 17th 2023, Taylor Swift kick-started The Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona. Now, The Eras Tour is just about ready to be streamed all over the world. Directed by Sam Wrench, Taylor and her team are bringing the highest-grossing tour in history to our homes. So, what’s The Eras Tour all about and when will it be available to stream on Disney+? Let’s get into it.

The Eras Tour is a celebration of Taylor’s career so far. From her country roots as a teenager, to the synth-pop Midnights, there’s so much to celebrate and endless songs to sing (or scream) along to. The tour started back in March 2023 and isn’t set to finish until December 2024.

Prior to The Eras Tour, Taylor has embarked on five tours during her career. We had the Fearless tour, the Speak Now tour, the Red tour, the 1989 tour, and the reputation tour. In 2020, Swift had plans to tour for Lover (2019) and called it Lover Fest. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour was cancelled.

Since the pandemic, Taylor has released folklore, evermore, Midnights, and now we’re eagerly awaiting the upcoming The Tortured Poets Department album, set for release on April 19th. Fans are speculating whether Taylor will add some tracks from TTPD for the rest of her tour, set to kick off again in May.

Swifties Were Lucky If They Got Tickets to The Eras Tour

If you haven’t heard of the nightmare surrounding getting tickets to The Eras Tour, where have you been? It’s no shock that there was a huge demand for this tour and getting ahold of concert tickets isn’t as easy as it was a few years ago.

To make things as fair as possible, fans who preordered her 2022 album Midnights were given priority access to tickets while others could apply to be on a waitlist. Nonetheless, many were still left heartbroken with Ticketmaster crashing becuase millions of people were all heading to one website to get tickets.

The Eras Tour in Theatres

Before it hit streaming services, The Eras Tour was shown in theatres worldwide from October 2023 through to January 2024. This was huge for Swifties who weren’t able to get tickets to see the show in person, with huge celebrations in theatres across the world.

The full tour wasn’t shown in theatres. The songs that were not included were ‘The Archer’, ‘cardigan’, ‘Long Live’, ‘No Body No Crime’, ‘Illicit Affairs’, and ‘Wildest Dreams’. It was never confirmed why these songs were left out, but it’s likely due to running time as the concert is over three hours long.

In February, Taylor Swift announced that The Eras Tour would be coming exclusively to Disney+. For the first time ever, we’ll be able to watch the entire concert, including ‘cardigan’, ‘The Archer’, and ‘Long Live’ and four acoustic songs from her surprise sets. We aren’t yet sure what the surprise songs will be, but the movie was shot during her first three Los Angeles shows last August. At those dates, she sang;

  • Our Song
  • You’re On Your Own, Kid
  • Maroon
  • I Can See You
  • You Are In Love
  • Death By A Thousand Cuts

So, any four of those could be the acoustic songs we get included. Taylor has recently teamed up with Good Morning America and will be announcing the surprise songs leading up to the release. Today, she revealed the first; Maroon.

At first, The Eras Tour was set for release on March 15th. Last week, they announced that the tour will be hitting our screens a few hours early. Great news, though! It’s coming a few hours early on March 14th at 6pm PT. For all our UK readers, that’s March 15th at 1pm GMT.

X-Men ’97 – March 20

Madu – March 29

Renegade Nell – March 29

While we wait for The Eras Tour to drop on Disney+, why not stream folklore: the long pond studio sessions?

So, Swifties, just one last question… are you Ready for it…?
