I remember moving to Revolution when I wanted to up my makeup game as a teenager. There’s so many fun products to play with at such great quality. The Soph Highlighter Palette is still one of my go-to products. It’s such amazing quality and has a great range of shades to suit all skin tones.

Maybelline is certainly one of the core ranges of drugstore makeup and can be found anywhere from Boots to Savers. It’s a little more pricey than other brands in this list, but its quality makes it well worth it. Their mascaras are certainly their most hyped up product – I think I’ll be buying the Lash Sensational Sky High mascara next!

NYX

NYX may be the best brand in the list. Again, their products are more on the pricey side, but it’s good to treat ourselves every now and then. Their eyeshadow palettes used to be such a staple for me, particularly the ‘Brights’ palette linked below. I’ve used the Epic Ink Liner every day for years and am yet to find anything better. For high-end quality and drugstore price, I couldn’t recommend NYX enough.

Collection is yet another classic drugstore makeup brand that we love. The brand feels fun and fresh and perfect for young makeup users. It covers all the bases at affordable prices and is available anywhere from Boots to Sainsbury’s. I still use the Collection Lasting Perfection foundation to this day (as well as my Rare Beauty foundation, of course).

Rimmel is another classic when we think of drugstore makeup – certainly a leading makeup brand in the UK. Their makeup is sold at a decent price and gives you great quality. The 3-Tone sculpting palette is one of the first bits of makeup I ever owned as it’s perfect for having everything you need in one place.

MUA

When I first started getting into makeup, MUA was my go-to. Honestly, because it was the cheapest I could find on the high street. It feels so light, making it perfect for someone just beginning to play with makeup. I remember being obsessed with their eyeshadow palettes – I almost want to try one again now and see if I still feel the same!
