If you’re into concerts and staring at your bank account makes you wonder how did you get there, these tours might be the cause. Everyone is touring this year. However, the end of the year is particularly busy with the amount of artists on tour. If you’re not sure who to see or if you’re afraid you’ve missed some of the announcements, here’s a non-exhaustive list of the most exciting upcoming tours!

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED TOURS

These are concerts for already established artists who are mostly doing arenas.

Chappell Roan, The Midwest Princess Tour

Chappell Roan announced her European Midwest Princess Tour back in March. This explains why a lot of fans are confused as to why she’s playing, at best, middle-sized venues. She was catapulted into fame with the release of her latest single, “Good Luck, Babe!” as well as her performance at Coachella. We’ve written an article about Chappell Roan’s announcement right here, if you’re curious to know more about her. Unfortunately, tickets are all sold out – but don’t lose hope! It’s very likely that there will be resale as we approach the dates of one of the most anticipated tours this year.

Resale tickets might be available later here!

Girl In Red, Doing It Again Tour

girl in red’s announcement was done in March too, but the lesbian singer seems to have declined in popularity. You might know her from years ago, when she went viral on social media for her songs “girls”, “i wanna be your girlfriend” and “we fell in love in october”. A lot of fans have distanced themselves since her album releases, the sound being different from what we were used to. Despite her anticipated sophomore album “I’M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!”, as well as a feature with Sabrina Carpenter, she didn’t seem to hit the marks with this release. Nonetheless, girl in red remains one of the most prominent names in queer music, and she’s worth seeing at least once.

Conan Gray, Found Heaven On Tour

Conan Gray’s third studio album “Found Heaven” finds inspiration in 80’s sounds, a different sound from what we were used to with his previous albums. There is a divide in opinions, with people either preferring his old sound or being impressed with the change. I’m part of the latter, and when Conan announced his tour, I knew this wasn’t a concert to be missed. I can’t speak in terms of expectations, since I haven’t been too involved in the Conan Gray concert experience. However, if the tour follows the vibe of the album, it’s set to be an extraordinary moment.

Aurora, What Happened to the Earth? Tour

Aurora has been around for a long time, her most popular song being “Runaway”. However, Aurora’s fans have stuck around as she gained more listeners throughout time. With six studio albums and thirteen million monthly listeners on Spotify, Aurora announced her latest European tour in May. A lot of the dates are sold out, but there’s still the chance for resale. For the other dates, tickets are selling fast so don’t take too long to get yours! If her shows are as whimsical as her music, you’re in for an unmissable evening.

Glass Animals, Tour of Earth

After making sensation with their song “Heatwaves”, Glass Animals leaned into the outer space vibe with their new album “I Love You So F***ing Much”. If there’s one concert I’m most curious about, it’s Glass Animals. I have no doubt they’ll base their visuals around the aesthetic of space and the tragedy of being stuck. If you haven’t listened to the album yet, I’d recommend getting to it and not missing this tour – it is on the run to be sensational.

HIGHLIGHT TOURS

The one concert you can’t miss because of how talented the artist is.

Griff, Vertigo Tour

Last year, I went to see Griff. I had been listening to her music on repeat, and her songs helped me through some low times. Despite knowing she was self-made, I didn’t expect her artistry to be so touching. Griff began her concert by spray painting the name of the city and date of the concert to a banner that had her previous concerts of the tour. She makes her own dresses, and has creative control of her concerts. Furthermore, she writes and produces all her songs. She has just released her debut album, Vertigo, and witnessing her gorgeous voice and personality is the priority with the announcement of her headlining tour.

HIGHWAY TO FAME TOURS

These are artists that have proved themselves by opening tours for established artists. However, they are not to be missed before they become popular.

Paris Paloma

Paris Paloma opened for Maisie Peters during The Good Witch Goes to Europe! Tour, but before that, she was already known for her song labour. The record was deemed as the embodiment of female rage. Paris Paloma releases her debut album on August 30th, and from what we’ve heard so far, the music is hauntingly realistic. If you’re into indie folk, greek mythology and women’s rights – don’t miss her.

The Last Dinner Party

The Last Dinner Party opened for Hozier’s Unreal Unearth Tour in Europe at the end of last year, and they couldn’t be more fitting for the audience. The band has a distinct sound and poetic lyricism. Their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, grapples with intense emotions such as ecstasy and pain. It is deeply personal and once again, talking to experiences of womanhood. If you’re into indie rock, mythology and women in general, don’t wait to get your tickets.

UPSAHL

UPSAHL opened for Fletcher’s Girl of My Dreams Tour in Europe, where she performed some of her hit songs, such as Drugs and People I Don’t Like. She has an energy that is unmistakably herself, and the authenticity and boldness that she brings to the stage is worth seeing. Although she hasn’t released her second album yet, her first album is full of dance anthems. If you want to leave your worries at the door of the venue and dance, don’t miss her when she goes on tour!

Empress Of

Empress Of opened for Rina Sawayama during her Hold The Girl Tour. The singer has been around for a long time. Years ago, she collaborated with Khalid on the title song for his EP, Suncity. With her remarkable sophomore album, For Your Consideration, she shows us she’s still unique in her distinct sound. Her themes revolve around love and sexuality, mixing English and Spanish from her Honduran-American origins. Empress Of is an incredible performer that will make you question your relationship to romance, whatever shape it might take.

MOTHICA

MOTHICA opened for Fall Out Boy’s tour in Europe last year. As an independent artist, MOTHICA has complete control over her artistry. Throughout her music, she has expressed her struggle with addiction and ongoing sobriety, depression and self-harm. Her latest album, Kissing Death, talks about the romanticization of depression and healing after you’ve spent your entire life with suicidal ideation. MOTHICA offers vulnerable lyrics, powerful music production and strong vocals. She has a distinct alternative look, MOTHICA being her stage persona. Her first European headlining tour is not to be missed.
