2024 has been an absolute whirlwind for pop culture. With incredible pop culture moments, we, of course, get some pretty iconic Halloween costume ideas. Whether it’s recognisable film characters, or ridiculously viral moments, we’re sure Halloween is going to really bring it this year.

Charli XCX has taken over the world over the last few months. Brat has been the moment over social media since it came out, with hits such as Apple, 365, and Guess. Brat Summer has been iconic for the girlies, so we’re sure to see this as a Halloween costume this year. With a bunch of green and feral behaviour, it’s going to be a go-to outfit.

This really is the crossover that we’d all been waiting for, particularly for huge Marvel fans. Deadpool and Wolverine joining together was one of the most significant pop culture moments for 2024. In our defense, we’re huge Swifties at All Too Creative. That aside, these two were some of the most talked about people all year. With their relationship starting last summer, they’ve only gotten stronger this year. We’re counting on the fact that every couple is going to dress up as these two. Hey, it’s a pretty easy costume and everyone will know who you are straight away.

Pop girlies, rise! Sabrina Carpenter is quickly becoming the new main pop girl, with incredible stage presence. Her looks are always so unforgettable. There’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing a lot of Sabrina’s this Halloween. Time to get hunting for a cute mini dress and some platform boots. Pray for our feet this Halloween.

Jenna Ortega seems to consistently kill it every time, no matter what title she’s in. Over the last few years, she’s starred in some pretty unforgettable films and TV shows. Even though Wednesday came out two years ago, we’re sure to see some more Wednesdays this year. From more recent titles, the girlies will definitely be recreating some Taste and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice looks.

Speaking of Beetlejuice, this 80s king has really made a comeback with the new film hitting cinemas at the start of this month. For many comedy and horror fans, Beetlejuice is a staple. Although we’re equally as obsessed with 2024 Beetlejuice, someone’s gotta pay respects to the OG. So, get those stripped suits out and do something crazy with your hair.
Elphaba and Glinda
One of the most anticipated movies of this year is Wicked. It feels like it’s been promoted for ages, and it’s finally hitting cinemas this November. Although the film isn’t out yet, Glinda and Elphaba have been an iconic on-stage duo for decades. They are the perfect definition of black cat and golden retriever friends. Grab your opposite bestie and commit to this look for Halloween.
Inside Out Emotions
Sure, technically Inside Out 2 is a kids film, but you best believe we were also completely obsessed with it. All of the new emotions feel so relatable. You could totally rock up on your own as anxiety of joy. Or, grab a group of friends and all be a different emotion! This is the perfect group Halloween look, and we’re sure that we see loads of these emotions this year.

When have these two ever not been an iconic Halloween costume? With Joker: Folie à Deux soon being released, Harley Quinn and Joker are back for more. This rendition of the chaotic duo has been so highly anticipated, and we’re ready to see Lady Gaga kill it. For an easy yet oh-so 2024 outfit, this is certainly going to be a go-to this Halloween.

Has this show consumed anyone else’s lives over the past couple of years? It’s so gripping and actually received a record breaking amount of Emmy nominations. This may be one of the easiest Halloween 2024 costumes, but people will know what you’ve come as straight away. Literally grab a white t-shirt and a chef’s apron and you’re good to go.
The Glasgow Wonka Experience
You didn’t think we’d forget about 2024’s most iconic moment of all, did you? Back in February, a Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow went viral because of how insanely bad it was. But, not all was lost, as we got this icon out if it. If we don’t see any zoned out Oompa Loompa’s this year, we’ve lost all hope. Oh, and we better see a few of The Unknown too.
