For as long as we can remember, celebrities have been associated with beauty, which has led to the natural progression of celebrities creating their own beauty brands. Celebrity makeup brands are all the rage right now, with more and more big stars releasing their own skincare, makeup and fragrance ranges. There are so many out there that it’s hard to figure out what’s actually worth spending your money on. We’re here today to share our 5 favourite celebrity beauty brands to make your decision easy.
about-face by Halsey
In early 2021, singer-songwriter and actress Halsey released their makeup line ‘about-face’. The brand is ‘multi-dimensional [and] for every one, every where, every way’ 1 and feels so exciting, fresh and modern. Just one look at the website shows a vast range of diversity and, for lack of a better word, it’s quirky in all the best ways.
Inspired by and for our diverse and artistic community, we create makeup made with integrity and intention, for all stages of life. We are built on the truth that no one is just one thing — humans are weird, complex, and entirely beautiful because of it. Everyone has their

own messy, mad, and personal method to becoming our greater selves.
Make u(p) without rules.
Made for the many of you.
Last year, Halsey released a second range called af94. Speaking to Teen Vogue, the singer said ‘af94 is inspired by the kids who show up to my tour dates in my makeup but have to wipe it off before their parents pick them up’ 2. The range is sold at more affordable prices without compromising on quality.

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez
There is so much hype around Rare Beauty – and we couldn’t agree more! Selena Gomez launched this incredible range in 2020, with a deeper intention behind it. The range is tied to Gomez’ Rare Impact Fund, a mission to improve access to and conversations around mental health. 1% of all profits go towards this fund.
This range was set out to allow consumers to embrace who they are, recognising the unrealistic standards of beauty.
Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me.
Selena Gomez, Founder of rare beauty
The quality of Rare Beauty products is incredible. The foundation, in particular, feels so light yet gives you the perfect amount of coverage. Gomez reently released a new liquid blush that has been going viral on TikTok. Rare Beauty’s products continue to uphold to their 5-star quality and, honestly, aren’t as expensive as you’d think.

Florence by Mills by Millie Bobby Brown
Florence by Mills, launched in 2019, is a ‘clean skincare and beauty‘ 3 range created by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown. After spending years in makeup chairs, Brown was inspired to delve into the beauty industry. The name ‘Florence’ came from her great- grandmother ‘who embraced herself and did things that made her happy all her life’ 3. The range encourages user to play with makeup and learn more about how we want beauty to make us feel.
To us, Florence by Mills feels fresh, youthful and a whole lot of fun.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
Fenty Beauty was undoubtedly one of the pioneers in modern celebrity makeup ranges, introducing something that felt real and full of quality. The most notable thing about Fenty Beauty’s launch was the never-seen-before range of foundation shades. As it stands, Fenty Beauty has 50 shades, allowing inclusivity for everyone. Check out their Shade Finder tool to find your perfect shade.
Makeup is there for you to play with. It’s there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure, and it should never feel like a uniform.

Fenty Beauty looks and feels luxurious and truly allows users to feel like their best selves.

r.e.m. beauty by Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande launched r.e.m. beauty in late 2021 and introduced us to a very sci-fi vibe with products and packaging that reflect Grande as a person. The range initially launched with her go-to products, such as highlighter, eyeliner, falsh lashes and lipgloss. As a huge sci-fi and horror fan, the singer/actress wanted to make a whole world for this makeup launch. Something that felt other-wordly and futuristic.
I wanted to make sure that everything looked kind of like a prop from Star Trek or Black Mirror or something like that, because I wanted to treat it kind of like an Apple, Tesla situation. I didn’t want it to look like makeup.
Ariana Grande, Founder of r.e.m beauty, speaking to Seventeen4
Ariana named her products with her fans in mind, hinting at clues only they would understand. Did you spot any? We love this range because it feels different. It’s not something we see a lot and you can tell Grande put so much effort into perfecting r.e.m. beauty.
